Lisa's trip to Copenhagen and Paris

What a wonderful trip…My last escape before the holidays, to see my brother and his family who are living in Copenhagen, Denmark.  And then we also celebrated a good friends birthday with a weekend in Paris.

The last time I visited Northern Europe was with Randy and a tour group seeing all the “flower attractions” of Holland.  This time our trip was spent more with family and friends but we did manage to see a few sites.

The first and second photos are in Downtown Copenhagen of the Living Walls, though it’s hard to see, this living wall is planted in the map of Europe.  They were doing some “replanting” filling in with new plants. In the second photo is Paige my Sister in law, and Sarah admiring the many flower stands through out the city.  Paige said it best, when she said the only thing cheaper in Denmark than in the US, is the flowers.  So true, yet beautiful and everywhere.   I enjoyed the designs of the mixed bouquets.   A wonderfully arranged mix of flowers that can be easily “plopped” into a vase at home.  Anytime you want to order one of the European wrapped bouquets, ready to go, just tell us.  And watch for specials, I may just make some for everyone to take home from downtown Wausau.

The six photos below are of the Tivoli Gardens, the second oldest amusement park in Europe.  Opened 1853, outside the city of Copenhagen, it is now right in middle of all the action.  Beautiful, old buildings, creative gardens and NOT Disney like.  They reopen during the Halloween season for all the spooky events.  Even in the cold, and rain, the Danes are standing in line for this great park.

We made it to Paris. Below is our group gathered by Notre Dame as well as some gorgeous photos of roses with Notre Dame in the background.   It was cold, but the roses were still blooming...

Wandering the old, narrow streets, finding great shops, ideas and food.  Esteban, a wonderful fragrance line that we used to carry at evolutions.  Here is the original retail store.  Can anyone remember one of their popular scents that we carried??

The pictures below are of Pompidou Centre (Art Museum). A very Modern structure amid the old architecture of the city and the statue 'The Thinker'…….  (or else he’s really tired).

Clear tents being set up for a function at the Rodin museum.  See the many chandeliers being unboxed and hung.  Wow, and we struggled with our 4 going in and out the door as rentals.  Would have loved to see the flowers for this event...

The last photos are some random favorites.  Enjoy...
